Charles Salas is the Manager for Real-Time Systems Security Engineering at Exelon Corporation, where he provides operational technology security architecture design, testing, incident response, and training for 6 utilities and the power generation fleet. He also leads the company's business aviation and unmanned aircraft systems cyber security initiatives. Prior to Exelon, Charles was the technical lead for the cyber security design and security assessments at 12 onshore oil field sites and the technical lead for a new offshore oil field development in the United Arab Emirates. He was also the technical lead for security assessments and certification & accreditation for presidential aircraft and various intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance airborne platforms. He holds a master of science in information assurance and bachelor of science in computer science. Charles served in the US Air Force in various cyber security officer assignments in tactical communications with joint special forces and air expeditionary groups abroad.
